Dr. Leon Segal is an Innovation Psychologist with over 25 years of experience in human factors, product innovation, and experience design. He has led an office for IDEO, the world's leading innovation design firm, worked at NASA, and consulted on innovation in a wide variety of firms, including 3M, BMW, Google, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, and more. His work on empathy and design — and his insight that "innovation begins with an eye" — are cited in several bestselling books. He currently heads Innovationship LLC, a consultancy based in Silicon Valley that teaches design thinking to organizations around the world.
Dr. Segal's educational background includes a PhD in Cognitive Psychology and MSc in Engineering Psychology from the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign; prior to that, he graduated from the Israel Airforce Academy as pilot and officer. In his spare time he plays soprano saxophone, and is producing a documentary film about jazz education.
Greg Saunders' career spans three decades, primarily as CFO/COO for 2 publicly-traded and 5 high-growth, private companies in commercial real estate, financial technology, renewable energy, property assessed clean energy (PACE) and structured finance. He has a successful track record that includes multiple "exit" events for his companies, including IPOs and mergers. He has significant experience in raising capital, charting financial and corporate strategy, and helping companies to improve revenues, reduce costs, and increase profits. Greg is currently CFO for Ygrene Energy Fund, Inc., the leading PACE financing company. For the prior five years, he was CEO (and CFO) of CleanFund Commercial PACE Capital, Inc., and served as CFO/COO for many other financial and technology-oriented firms. Greg holds a B.A. in Economics and Business from Macalester College, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
