Roseville Electric Utility is a locally owned electric power provider committed to improving the quality of life of community and customers with reliable electricity, competitive prices, exceptional service and a culture of safety. Roseville Electric offers customers numerous energy efficiency rebate programs.
A major pain point for Roseville Electric centered around the way in which they managed and organized their rebate program. Roseville was searching for a solution that would address the entire process from application submittal to payment.
Roseville needed a way to easily capture and organize rebate applications and supporting documentation to ensure simplified reporting, internal process work flows and consistency with application entry. Prior to utilizing energyOrbit, Roseville was struggling to manage a high volume of paper rebate applications using a custom built Access database. Applications in process were passed from entry to approval in a paper format.
Roseville's manual method of customer applications was a laborious process for staff and customers.
In 2012, Roseville selected energyOrbit as the supplier of a personalized cloud-based tracking, application and reporting tool.
With energyOrbit, Roseville could more efficiently track, measure and report the data surrounding their rebate programs utilizing the robust reporting available with the energyOrbit Salesforce integration. It also opened the door for a more user-friendly application process. This 360 degree view of their programs gave staff the power to analyze sets of data and manage applications from one simple dashboard.
The ability to operate a singular tracking and management tool, gave Roseville rebate program administrators confidence to expand programs and launch new campaigns segments including water efficiency rebate programs for the City of Roseville Environmental Utility Department, enhanced energy efficiency rebate programs, compatible programs for EV charger rebates, smart thermostats, solar rebates and more. Through energyOrbit, Roseville is now better able to organize and streamline programs, as well as manage the numerous moving parts and partners to work in concert to reach Roseville's sustainability goals.
In 2019 Roseville Electric and the City of Roseville Environmental Utility Department were able to offer residential customers online rebate applications using the energyOrbit rebate application portal provided by energyOrbit. The online application system allows contractors to submit applications on behalf of residential customers through the Trade Ally registration process.
“City of Roseville departments Roseville Electric Utility and Environmental Utilities recently renewed our contract with crm Orbit Inc. for the energyOrbit system. The flexible and robust rebate and electronic workflow system based on the Salesforce platform continues to handle a high volume of rebates with minimal staff required to process the rebates and provide the flexibility and detail we require for tracking energy efficiency, water conservation rebates, solar and battery interconnections and electric vehicles.”
